Loneliness

by

And I sat alone I lay

on the gentle shores of the Corace *

And the stones and purchased everything I begged

until peace reigned for me.

Ah, how my thoughts vagheggiavo,

I felt something bold in thought

Of joy and sorrow all shaking

as if that "I'd like to none"

"What do you think? Why do you so discomforted?"

He said, knocking the wind behind me

As he saw my eyes sore

I said "oh, you do not feel that joy and sorrow

vai and turning to the plains and valleys,

tell her that the days of Separation are strong.

Michael Accurso 1955

* The Corace is a river of Calabria, who was born in Calabria and empties into the Gulf of Squillace after a course of 48 km.
