Vuvuzela
You've all heard the sound of vuvuzela and curiosity led you to discover among the stands of the stadiums in the form of South African musical instrument that emitted that strange and deafening sound like the buzzing of a swarm of bees.
The Vuvuzela, from Wikipedia:
"Also called lepatata (in tswana) or horn stage, is a trumpet air, usually of plastic, the approximate length of one meter. It is commonly used in South Africa by fans attending football matches and this is sort of become a symbol of football itself in that country. The origin of its name is disputed: it may be an onomatopoetic word in the Zulu language meaning "to do vuvu," referring to the sound emitted by the instrument, or derived from a slang term of the suburbs which means "shower", in reference to its form. "
From Thursday, the South African Tourist Board has set up a booth in the center of Milan, which distributes free the nice trumpets which, needless to say, were snapped up.
And 'even has a program for' iphone that faithfully reproduces the sound of trumpets buzzing. The free and 'at the top of the most' downloaded but there is another fee (0.79 cents), which ranks sixth.
O n the occasion of World South Africa, the Dutch duo Gebroeders Ko has written a song called Vuvuzela fact, here's the video:
The Lord of the Rings has led to the lands of half the World Cup and with them came the vuvuzelas that Gandalf not really go down ...
Gandalf Goes to the World Cup
This tool has agitated the minds of many artists, photographers from the comic to the common people is perhaps the vuvuzela the real winner of World Cup 2010.
